CRU Weekly meeting (14 Sept 2016)

Actions:

• We all should read the EDR report prepared by Alex (https://indico.cern.ch/event/512890/attachments/1291308/1954023/20160620CRUEDR.pdf), and delegate the questions to the appropriate persons. The answers should be assembled and presented during the follow up meeting which will be held sometime after the delivery of prototype firmware.
• Proposal sent to Alex, for the next review is middle of November.
• October, November we must be able to be ready for testing the hardware.

Report on Actions:

1. 10G PON

• No update.
• Trying to get the trigger team design.

2. GBT

• During last week fixing the issue of the re-factored design.
• Tested different functionalities in simulation (calibration of PLLs).
• Working on enabling the multiple GBT links and PLLs.
• End of this week the simulation should have something done.

3. DCS

• Some tests scheduled today

• I2C to be integrated in ARRIAX

4. PCIe

• Work with Sanjoy on the DMA.
• BAR2 works

5. Integration

• Developer should start working on the integration project.
• Several detectors (ITS MID MCH) started to build the readout system.
• No news in accessing the ARRIAX in India

AOB

• 2 x PCIe40 "first week of October"
• rest of the cards not before 2nd half of November

Vacations

• PiPPo at CERN in september, on conference 10-14 october, on leave until 7 november (but can work remotely).
