Description
The current understanding of the nucleon helicity structure will be reviewed based on the recent results from the Deep Inelastic Scattering experiments at DESY (HERMES), CERN (COMPASS) and Jefferson Laboratory, and polarized proton-proton collisions at RHIC. The advent of high luminosity and high center-of-mass energy Electron Ion Collider (EIC) will open new era in the nucleon helicity structure studies with unprecedented precision and wide kinematic reach. The assessment of how further the future EIC measurements could constrain the parton helicity distributions in the nucleon will be presented.
