Getting Around in Urbana-Champaign

  • Riding the bus: If you do not have a university iCard, you will need a 1-dollar note. Enter the bus through the front door and insert the dollar note in the machine next to the driver. To indicate that you want to get off the bus, pull the string running along the window fronts. 

  • How to get from the iHotel to Downtown Champaign: take yellow bus #1 (during the day) or #100 (evening / night) from "First & Lot E-14 (NW Far Side)" (3 minutes to walk from the hotel) to "Illinois Terminal".  The trip is 20 minutes and the bus departs every 20 minutes during the day.
