Description

Preparation of the research program at the Nuclotron and the future NICA collider facility is carried out during the last years. The problems of design, construction and tests of new polarized ion source (protons and deuterons), reconstruction of a front end part of the existing linac LU-20, preparation of polarimeters these are current works have been performed within the last few months. In the report, we present current results on implementation of the Nuclotron/NICA R&D program with polarized beams including the first tests of the above mentioned systems at the Nuclotron in June 2016. Near future work plan aimed at NICA collider spin physics research is discussed also.
