  • Igor report on event skimming using indexing

    • Worked with the same data samples from the DM analysis

    • Using root loading only the interesting branches, selection time is 40-60 e-6 ms/event, new approach is 100 times faster

    • Reindexing needs to be understood also on the organizational stand point

    • Next step exploring technologies, GPU databases

  • Discussion on metrics (Matteo, Jim, Saba, Alexey)

    • report on the results of the usability test for the Princeton workflow

      • Will be included in Oli’s slides (Jim/Matteo will work on that) and on Saba’s poster. For that, relevant information will be circulated by slack

      • Plan for the performance study. Jim and Matteo will start today. Details will be defined first and discussion with Alexey will be done on slack. Jim/Matteo/Alexey will evaluate if the test can be started today.
