Search for R-parity violating supersymmetry in multilepton final states using the ATLAS detector

Description
While evidence for SUSY was not found by ATLAS during Run 1 of the LHC, the increase in the center-of-mass energy in Run 2 has allowed for a dramatic increase in the sensitivity to many types of SUSY models. In particular, for models of R-parity violating SUSY, which have certain unconventional traits requiring different experimental techniques than more inclusive searches, the increase in center-of-mass energy has allowed for probing models with much higher SUSY particle masses. The search is presented for events with high lepton multiplicity, for which an excess is not observed. In a simplified model of chargino production with indirect R-parity violating decays, chargino masses below approximately 1.1 TeV are excluded.
