Access to the venue

It is highly recommended to take the Public transportation, tram and bus, and to make some 5- to 10-min walking exercises. Strasbourg centre is not meant to be car-friendly (lots of one-way roads, pedestrian areas, ...) but rather focuses on bikes and transportation. To find your itineraries, you may use the trip planner of the local transport company, CTS company.

Notes :

  1. You can park for free your car within the campus during the workshop and then further use transportation from there to join city centre/your down-town hotel .
  2. Note that you will need to buy and validate the ticket at the (bus, tram) stops, i.e. not in the bus but before jumping into it (one way 1,70€, ten tickets 14€).

Below you will find further guidance to join the campus of the workshop.

-----

1. Public transport : line G

Using a 9-min trip with bus G (between Main Train station and Arago stop) + 5-10 min walk should the most straightforward from the town centre.

  • Line : G = Buses with high frequency of service in dedicated tracks (departure every 5-7 min)
  • Direction : SCHILTIGHEIM - Espace Européen de l' Entreprise
  • Typical  departure stations :
    • stop Gare Centrale (1st stop of the line)
    • stop Wilson (2nd stop of the line.)
  • Stop to step down :
    • stop Arago (6th stop of the line)
  • Trip timing : 9 min

2. Towards the conference room

To get guidance to join the conference room, you may refer to the campus map below (in French... sorry) :

The Arago stop is 50m away from rue Becquerel on the map above.
Depending on the time of the day, a user can :

  • enter/exit via the gate next to building 80 (the cantine btw...) rue Becquerel at the rush hours (~8h-9h30 and 17h-19h)
  • enter/exit anytime at main gate next to building 21 and 01, rue du Loess

Note :
To enter the site, she/he will need to open his backpack to the guard to show in a glimpse the content of it.

The conference room will be located in building 25 on the same map.
