On Monday 20th of March, a brokerage event will take place, offering opportunity of exchange to students and fellows looking for a job opportunity. It will consist of 10-minute meetings between representatives of firms and laboratories, on one side, and students and fellows, on the other side. The aims of these meetings can be manifold, including: (i) networking; (ii) current job vacancies the industry/lab; (iii) future/potential job in the industry/lab.
The meetings will take place upon successful matching: each PhD students will select the industries of interest from the list of firms/laboratories attending the workshop; then, each firm/laboratory will receive the CVs of the interested students and will select a number of students according to their interest and to the slots available.
The students attending the Final PACMAN workshop will have the possibility to attend a specific training before the event, with a focus on CV writing and preparation for short interviews. The training will take place at CERN, on the 16th of March.
Timeline of the event:
- 18/02: deadline of participation for firms/labs.
- 20/02: publication of the list of participating firms & labs
- 15/03: deadline to receive the CVs from the PhD students (via the registration form)
- 17/03: appointments + CV transferred to all the participants
- 20/3: speed-dating
