19:30:  Doors open to the public

20:00:  Public Lecture on The Dark Universe

GRAPPA@5 Party

Date:  Tuesday 17th October 2017

Time:  19:00 - 11:00

Location:

Restaurant Pont 13
Haparandadam 50
1013 AK Amsterdam

You are warmly invited to join us for our celebratory party, which will take place at Pont 13, a unique location in the west of Amsterdam.  Pont 13 is a restaurant housed on a renovated steam ferry dating back to 1927.  In 1956, it was converted to an electric ferry and transported cars, passengers and bikes across the Ij until it was retired and sold.  It was later saved from demolition and transformed into a restaurant.  A walking dinner and drinks will be provided and we are also hoping to arrange some kind of live music.

Directions:

Shuttle Bus (priority for non-local participants)

For non-local participants without a bike, we have arranged a shuttle bus service to collect people from the following two pick-up points:

18:30 - The Manor Hotel, Linnaeusstraat 89, 1093 EK Amsterdam

18:50 - Prins Hendrikkade 25, 1012 TM Amsterdam, next to the Lovers Rederij pick-up point (see red flag on map below)

The shuttle bus will then collect people from Pont 13 at 23:00 and drop people back at the above pick-up points.

Public Transport

For those people travelling to Pont 13 on public transport, make your way to Amsterdam Central Station and then take either bus 48 to Koivistokade or bus 22 to Spaarndammerstraat.  From Koivistokade it is a 9 minute walk to Pont 13 and from Spaanrdammerstraat the walk takes 15 minutes (see maps below).
