Participants: E. Adli, F. Antoniou, R. Corsini, B. Dalena, J. Pfingstner, L. Rinolfi, D. Schulte, J. Snuverink, F. Stulle, R. Tomas, G. Vanbavinckhove, A. Vivoli
D. Schulte reported on last Friday's meeting by members of the ILC executive committee, the CLIC steering committee and Cern management on future ILC-CLIC collaborations. It was discussed to have a joined ILC-CLIC workshop next year.
D.S. announced that the implications of the 500 GeV parameters on the different sub-systems of CLIC must be checked soon to allow further project planning. In August there will me a meeting with the RF group to discuss this topic.
Updates of on-going work:
F. Stulle improved the RTML bunch compression system. It will be presented next week at the workshop. D.S. asked to discuss possible collaborations.
A. Vivoli is preparing a talk on simulation of IBS for the POSIPOL workshop. He improved the code MOCAC.
F. Antoniou is now working on IBS in the damping rings. D.S. asked to put the PDR lattice in the code repository.
B. Dalena is working on Placet to separate the HTGEN part and to implement halo simulations for the main linac.
J. Pfingstner is preparing contributions for measurements of orbit oscillations at the nm level to be performed at CESR-TA.
J. Snuverink is working on simulations of magnetic stray fields in the long transfer line.
E. Adli is evaluating multi bunch effects in the decelerator.
D. Schulte studies the creation of the hadronic background in the detector. This is requested as an input for the detector studies.
L. Rinolfi is coordinating the studies on the creation of polarized positrons. This will become a joined ILC/CLIC effort. ANL signed a memorandum to work on polarized sources.
R. Corsini is coordinating the commissioning of CTF3. Goal is to get a two fold combination of the beam. Currently beam reaches TL2. Further optimizations are required.
