Travelling by Car

From Switzerland: Follow signs for "Aéroport", "Lyon" and "Meyrin". Once you are in Meyrin, follow signs for "St Genis" (which is just beyond the border, in France). Before reaching St Genis, the CERN reception is on your left on "Route de Meyrin", just before you reach the border.

From France (département of Ain): Follow signs for "Gex" or "St. Genis". When you reach the border, CERN is on your right immediately after passing through customs.

If you come to CERN by car, you will need to collect a car sticker giving you access to the site with your car. We ask you to send us the license plate number of your car before the meeting so we can prepare the sticker, which will give it to you by Carmelo and Jose.

Before entering the site, you can park your car in the parking lot next to the Globe across the road from CERN. Please note, however, that you are permitted to enter and leave the car park only once by default. When you have obtained your sticker you can enter and leave the CERN site throughout the meeting.

If you have a rental car and do not know the license plate number in advance, go to the CERN reception when you arrive and they can issue you a sticker. If you arrive outside of opening hours please contact us as soon as possible , and we will inform you accordingly. te-msc.secretariat@cern.ch
