Description
The talk will present latest results on top quark physics at CMS employing pp collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of up to 12.9/fb at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. New results employing the entire data set available at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV will also be discussed. Latest results include inclusive and differential cross section measurements, top quark property measurements, as well as measurements of the cross section for associate production of W and Z bosons in top quark pair production and in particular the measurement of associate Higgs boson production. Comparisons to the standard model expectations will be given, and the talk concludes with implications for the SM and an outlook towards new data.
