The hotel of the conference (Hotel Baia della Zagare, http://www.hotelbaiadellezagare.it) is on the east coast of Italy (approximately 5 hours drive southeast of Rome) (approximately 1.5 hours drive east of Foggia). It is on the Adriatic Sea next to the Parco Nazionale del Gargano (http://www.parcogargano.it or http://www.parks.it/parco.nazionale.gargano). From Rome to the hotel (on Friday 4 September, if attending only the symposium “Intraoperative Imaging of Radioisotopes”) (on Thursday 3 September, if attending only the pre-symposium workshop “TOF PET”, or if attending both the pre-symposium workshop and the symposium) Most attendees will fly into Rome and travel from Rome to the hotel. The hotel is a bit isolated; thus, the symposium organizers suggest attendees traveling through Rome use the following travel plan. They should arrive at the Rome airport by 11:00 (11AM). Attendees arriving in Rome on September 3 or 4 should arrange to ride Trenitalia (http://www.trenitalia.com/trenitalia.html) from Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) to Foggia. This is done in two stages. The first stage is from the train station at the airport (Fiumicino Aeroporto or FIUMICA) to the major train station in the center of Rome (Roma Termini or ROMA TE). The last train from the airport that can result in the proper connection for the recommended travel plan is the train that departs FIUMICA at 13:06 and arrives at Rome TE at 13:37 (train #3303; earlier trains are 3301, 3299, 3297, ….) (Note: Trains depart FIUMICA for ROMA TE about every 30 minutes.) The cost of this stage is 11€. The second stage is from ROMA TE to FOGGIA. Attendees should arrange to ride the train that departs ROMA TE at 14:00 and arrives in FOGGIA at 17:05 (train #9353). The cost of this stage is 54,20€ (first class) or 39,90€ (second class). There will be at the Foggia train station a symposium-arranged bus/van that will transport attendees from Foggia to the hotel. The bus will depart Foggia at approximately 17:45 and arrive at the hotel at 19:15. There will be only one symposium bus traveling from Foggia to the hotel each day. It will depart at approximately 17:45 each day. From the hotel to Rome Here are two options for attendees when they depart the hotel. Option 1. Departure Sunday evening 6 September. A symposium-arranged bus/van will travel from the hotel to the Foggia train station on Sunday evening 6 September. It will depart the hotel at 17:45. It will arrive at the Foggia train station at approximately 19:15. Attendees using this option will travel by Trenitalia (http://www.trenitalia.com/trenitalia.html) from FOGGIA to ROMA TE on the train that departs FOGGIA at 19:55 and arrives at ROMA TE at 23:00 (train #9356). The cost of this train is 54,20€ (first class) or 39,90€ (second class). [This option is, for example, for attendees departing Rome on the morning of Monday 7 September.] Option 2. Departure Monday morning 7 September. A symposium-arranged bus/van will travel from the hotel to the Foggia train station on Monday morning 7 September. It will depart the hotel at 06:00. It will arrive at the Foggia train station at approximately 07:30. Attendees using this option will travel by Trenitalia (http://www.trenitalia.com/trenitalia.html) from FOGGIA to ROMA TE on the train that departs FOGGIA at 08:07 and arrives at ROMA TE at 11:00 (train # 9352 Frecciargento). The cost of this train is 59,90€ (first class) or 42,80€ (second class). Note: With these options attendees arrive in the center of Rome. Travel to the airport from ROMA TE requires another train ride that takes approximately 30 minutes. If necessary Attendees that are unable to match the travel times of the symposium sponsored busses/vans can obtain taxi service transport between Foggia and the Hotel Baia delle Zagare.
