This CMS Virtual Visit will connect more than 300 primary school educators, taking part in an one-day teacher training activity hosted by the NOESIS science centre in Thessaloniki. The activity is organized by the Regional Educational Authority of Central Macedonia in the framework of Playing with Protons. The day will include talks, breakout sessions, and hands-on demonstrations by the Playing with Protons Greece team, but also presentations by 6th grade students of the 6th Intercultural School of Eleftherio-Kordelio who completed a full year of in-school activities inspired by particle physics and which would not be possible without the work of primary teacher and participant of Playing with Protons 2016 CPD Greece, Kiki Zervou and her amazing colleagues. As part of this event, the 300 teachers will have the opportunity to meet and talk remotely to CMS applied physicist Machi Tsirou, a core member of the Playing with Protons team.
