Please note that we have 4 places for this workshop. Interested students who could not sign up, could check the registration regularly in case of cancellations.

In this workshop you will, after a short theoretical introduction, work with a test beam in the North Experimental Area at the CERN SPS. You will learn how to steer the beam, study the effect of collimators as a function of their location in the beam optics (momentum slit and acceptance collimators) and measure the beam composition with different methods.

Every participant will be asked to attend a preparatory lecture on Wednesday, 2nd August at 15h00 in 774-R-013(link is external) .
