Welcome Reception

The Welcome Reception for the 2018 ENLIGHT meeting will be held in the South Cloisters within the Main Building of the University College London Bloomsbury campus. The columned frontage to this building, known as the UCL Portico, was constructed soon after the establishment of UCL in 1826.

The Welcome Reception will begin at 19.00: drinks and a light food buffet will be available for delegates. During the reception, we have the pleasure of being entertained by the Michael Singers, the UCL Mathematics Department choir.

To reach the cloisters, come in to the UCL main campus through the large black iron gates on Gower Street: these are directly opposite the entrance to the Cruciform Building, where the Training Day and scientific sessions will be held. This will bring you into the UCL main quad:

Directly in front of you will be the UCL Portico: behind this are the north and south cloisters.  To reach the south cloisters, head for the back right corner of the main quad and through the black doors:

As you come through these doors, turning left will bring you into the South Cloisters:
