We are a Catholic School, founded in the early 1930s as the St Elizabeth School in Sliema. During the second World War (on April 30th 1940) a huge bomb fell in the school yard and destroyed the building. Within a few years, a bigger building was erected that became a primary school until 1998. By 2003, the latter was phased out and we now cater for a population of 400 girls at secondary level.
To meet the demands of modern teaching and pedagogy, modernization of the school has been ongoing as from 1990 with the addition of various Sciences and Technology Labs, a gymnasium, a bigger library and a concert hall. In recent years the school invested in solar energy, interactive whiteboards and air conditioners in most classes. We take pride in preparing our students not only academically but also with those twenty-first century skills and competences that are needed in everyday life.
