1. South Africa: We were glad to have Simon Connell join to tell about activities at UJ. Presently they have (7) 8-core nodes. The technical expert is Sergio Ballestrero who manages to oversee this remotely from CERN. He is assisted by Simon locally and two student mangers, one of whom will attend the Sao Paulo workshop. The plan is to expand with an additional (16) 12-core Athlon blades bringing their total to 248 cores (according to Horst's recollection). Fantastic!
2. DOSAR VIII Sao Paulo (http://www.sprace.org.br/workshops/viiidosar/). Eduardo discussed the speaker list and reminded everyone to please register (see the website for links to the agenda and to the webpage). If you need a visa, please attend to this immediately...see the instructions available on the webpage.
3. Merrill Jenkins is making good progress with his Co-linux farm at the University of South Alabama. This work will add greatly to Horst's documentation available on the DOSAR webpage. Merrill's talk is linked under Site Reports on the meeting agenda: http://indico.cern.ch/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=67611
