Description
In this presentation an introduction to fire safety at CERN is given. The uniqueness of the Organisation from the geographical, legal and scientific standpoints is described from the fire safety standpoint. This subject is further on developed by providing information on how safety management is organized at CERN, who are the main safety interlocutors, the available fire safety engineering tools and resources. Finally, some information on the FIRIA project, dedicated to the radiological impact of fire will be provided.
