Description

Many Beyond the Standard Model (BSM) constructs that address the open questions remaining after the discovery the Higgs boson such as dark matter, particle antiparticle asymmetry (baryogenesis), hierarchy problem and neutrino masses either require or can have long-lived particles. This talk will very briefly review some models, discuss the signatures of LLPs in LHC detectors and summarize some key results of current of LLP searches at the LHC. The talk will conclude with an overview of proposed LHC experiments that extend the ct reach to lifetimes beyond the reach of current LHC collider detectors.
