• Overview of current TOTW workflow
  • Decide to invite speaker informally/formally in TOTW committee meeting or over email (make it more formal - vote?)

Difference with Physics Forum:

• Ideally two speakers
• engage the audience

 

Difference with Coffee Hour:

• very informal
• no slides
• no vidyo

 

Possible themes:

• Machine learning in different physics experiments
• HL-LHC upgrades: ALAS, CMS, LHCb

 

New ideas:

• Provide speaker with a schedule (1 hour time slots min time slots? ,host’s job?)
• Reminder emails with google doc to sign up for 1 hour time slots plus sign up if you’re interested in dinner (no guarantee)
• Announce dinner at seminar (depending on interest level)
• Themes over the season? Yuri says university only does it when they have an agenda

 

Practical:

• Caterina will be the host for Bryan 
• Follow up via email with concrete proposals for speakers (2-3 from each committee member)
