Bi-Weekly LHCbDirac DevOps meeting

This meeting was dedicated to the post mortem of the migrations from MySQL 5.6 to MySQL 5.7

Discussions lead to a todo list, as well as some lessons for next time.

Next time:

• Run performance tests before an a setup which is the target one
• Clean our databases from useless tables before
• DBOD: prepare plans for quick rollback

TODO list:

• (Ignacio + Chris): DFC situation still not understood and to be investigated
• (Ignacio) Migration of lbtrans and dfc to CentOS7 machines
• (Ignacio) Examine whether sql statement can be extracted from binary logs
• (DIRAC team): write performance tests. Zoltan for the accounting, Federico for the TransformationDB, Chris for the dFC
• (Zoltan) Add multimechanize to the DIRAC externals
• (DIRAC team): regularly check the logs of MySQL server in the next weeks to make sure there are no errors
