CIEMAT is a Spanish Public Research Agency focused on energy and environment, as well as on many technologies and various areas of fundamental research. Since its creation in 1951, it has been carrying out research and technological development projects, serving as a reference for technical representation of <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Spain</st1:place></st1:country-region> in international forums. CIEMAT team is made up of approximately 1200 people and the main activities are organized around research projects that link R&D and the interests of society.
