Long-Lived particles are present in many beyond the Standard Model Theories. I’ll explore a little bit of why this is, and why LLP’s have become popular. I’ll then talk about the searches at the LHC. I’ll mention as much of the huge body of work as I can, though I will likely concentrate details on ATLAS. Finally, I’ll talk a bit about what is next, and how we might explore the upper limits of possible lifetimes for Long Lived Particles and how one might go about detecting them (limits come from Big-Bang Nucleosynthesis).
