The EGEE AA meeting will start on Tuesday 2 Feb at 9h and last until Tuesday afternoon at 16h. Travel on Monday evening is recommended. A dinner might be organised for those who are intrested on Monday evening. The EGEE PMB is planned for Tuesday 2 Feb at 16.30-18.30. A conference call will be organised for those who cannot attend the PMB in person.

SA1 will hold a F2F meeting Monday 1 Feb. You can register to the SA1 meeting using the AA meeting registration form. More information on the SA1 F2F meeting can be found "here"

The objectives of the All-activity meeting are to further develop the planning for the transition from EGEE to EGI taking into account the EC project proposals submitted in November 2009.

This will also be the occasion to check the status of the implementation of the recommendations from the EGEE-III project review of June 2009.
A group dinner has been organised on MONDAY evening at 19h at restaurant "Brasserie Harkema"

The EGEE AA meeting will be held at CWI, Amsterdam Science park (neighbour of Nikhef) in room Z011.
Adress: Sciencepark 125 (see attached map).

You do not need an access card to enter the building. More information on the Science park can be found "here"

How to reach Nikhef/CWI

(Sciencepark 105/125 1098 XG Amsterdam)
  • From Amsterdam Airport (Schiphol):

    Take the train from the airport to Centraal Station. Once at the Centraal station get a 'Sprinter Train' to Amsterdam Science Park. There are many trains from the airport. From Centraal station there is a train at 18 and 48 mins past the hour (normally platform 13b - but check) and the journey takes 8 mins to the stop (Science Park) followed by a short minute walk under the bridge to NIKEF. At the automatic ticket machines at the airport select the 'other station' button and type 'AM' which will bring up a short list of stations including the 'Science Park'. Its €4.10 one way.

    Anoter way is to take the train form the airport railway station to the station Amsterdam Zuid WTC From Amsterdam Zuid WTC take metro 51 (direction Centraal Station) and get out at Amstel Railway Station From Amstel Station take the city bus number 40 in the direction Muiderpoort Station. Get off at the gate at Sciencepark 105.

  • From the Muiderpoort Railway Station:

    Take the citybus number 40 in the direction Amstel Station Gett off at the gate at Sciencepark 105

  • From the Central Railway Station:

    Take any metro line to the Amstel Railway Station and take bus 40 Or take tram 9, get out at the stop Kruislaan and take bus 40 or walk about 15 minutes.

  • Taxi from the airport:

    The taxi ride is appoximately 45 euros for a 20 minute ride. Make sure your only take taxis from the official taxi stands.

Accommodation

NIHEF has special arrangements with the following hotels;
  • "NH Tropen Hotel" single room costs 105 euros per night
  • "Eden Lancaster Hotel", single room costs 99 euros per night
  • "Eden Amsterdam Centre Hotel", single room costs 130 euros per night.
