Description
The São Paulo Research and Analysis Center (SPRACE) is actively working on the analyses of the data collected by CMS. One of our main interest is the search for physics beyond standard model. In this talk we will show the efforts of the SPRACE group on the search for Dark Matter
particles at the CMS experiment.
Experimental evidences of the existence of Dark Matter have come only from gravitational effects. Many theoretical proposals to explain its composition involve extensions of the standard model that predict the existence of new particles. However, the Dark Matter experimental
evidences does not lead necessary to signals at the LHC which makes the search very intricate. We will present the CMS efforts on the search for Dark Matter, especially on the monojet channel.
