The Neutrinos Angra Project has a compact surface antineutrino detector operating aside the Angra II reactor, inside the Angra dos Reis nuclear power plant (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). The detector transport and assemble in the power plant laboratory happened in the first months of this year and the commissioning of the detector and all support systems is happening during the first semester of 2018. The main purpose of this experiment is to monitor the reactor thermal power using only the measured reactor antineutrinos flux as input. As a surface detector, the main challenge of this experiment is to deal with a huge background and still obtain a good signal to noise separation, using carefully chosen data analysis techniques. In this work we will present the status and last results of the Neutrinos Angra Project.
