Saint-Petersburg press conference

2285/R-C15 - ALICE Virtual Visit (CERN)

Press-conference in SPbSU devoted to 25 years of participation in ALICE, several TV channels and other mass media were present. Introductory talk/lecture, shown some items (ITS ladders, ALPIDE chips) and answered questions.

During this event, Grigory Feofilov, a head of Laboratory of Ultra-high Energy Physics in SPbSU, team-leader of university ALICE group, was on-line from ALICE Run Control center, and video was transmitted on big LCD TV in the auditorium (see below the references to TV news about this event). Grigory told briefly about the history of Collaboration and how SPbSU team joined it. There was also a remote welcome word from the ALICE spokeperson, Federico Antinori.
