Description

Abstract:

NASA has heavily invested in Cryogenic Fluid Management for in-space propulsion over the last 50 years. These efforts have been focused on the needs of cryogenic spacecraft for the transportation of humans and goods to distant places. The European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) has begun working on cryogenic thermal management for many years. Both NASA and CERN are very interested in the performance of multilayer insulation at low temperatures and are currently investing in test programs.
