If we do discuss code implementation in the paper it should certainly not be in the main text. The other option which I actually prefer is to leave it to a manual update, unless it is somehow really necessary for the transparency of the physics paper. The reason for this is I don't like making people search through a bunch of physics papers to understand what happens with the code, and including details in the appendix may prevent us from putting them in the next manual. If the problem is that the manuals will come out much later, we could just draft such details and keep a rolling manual_updates.pdf on our webpage which then forms the basis of the next manual paper when it gets big enough."
