New results of the OPERA experiment
by
The OPERA experiment was designed to conclusively prove muon to tau neutrino oscillations in appearance mode. The Collaboration has performed the oscillation analysis of the full data sample, collected between 2008 and 2012, with a multivariate approach for event identification. Tau neutrino candidate events are preselected with cuts looser than in the previous cut-based approach. We report conclusive results on tau neutrino appearance and also new results in terms of oscillation parameters and of tau neutrino properties. The Collaboration has also searched for sterile neutrinos and studied high-energy cosmic-ray muons. In this talk we will give an overview of the latest results.
