Description
Since the several successful operation demonstrations of low-gain avalanche detectors (LGAD), we are in a stage of further investigation on development and application possiblities using such fast-timing, ca. 30 ps, semiconductor devices which should realise a superior position resolution of O(10microns) at the same time. The workshop is organised to summarise the LGAD status and to discuss further R&D activities.
