Useful information

1. Access to CERN (*** Please read carefully***)

External participants have received a link indicating that access has been requested in view of the workshop.

Once you have given your personal data back (by filling in the corresponding form), you will receive a second message confirming your access. In this last message, there is a ticket attached with a code. Please print this ticket. If you can not, a kiosk is available from CERN's reception during office hours.

Please take with you the code that was sent along with the link. You will be requested to show your passport or identity card to enter CERN premises.

Please do not forget to fill the Indico form in order to obtain the Access Card.

Note that your visitor access card must be visible at all times when you are on the CERN site, and that visitors are requested to use Gate B only.

2. How to get to CERN

From Geneva International Airport at Cointrin

Taxi: approximately 35CHF.

CERN has an arrangement with an external taxi service. This service can be used for trips to and from CERN (e.g. airport, train station, etc.), but also for trips on site, or between CERN sites (e.g. for people with reduced mobility).

The CERN Access request for taxi can be made after sending an e-mail with precised arrival time to the airport/ railway station or with taxi number (contact).

Trips must requested by the client directly with the taxi company; the service desk +41227677777 can help if necessary.

Note that Taxi driver don't know the plan of the CERN routes. Maps CERN website may be helpful.

For private or professional trips starting on the CERN site; clients must themselves inform the CERN guards service in order to assure access to the CERN site for their taxi, using the form available from the service portal)
