ACCESS TO CERN
Upon arrival at CERN, please go to the CERN reception in building 33. If you already have a valid CERN access card please bring it with you and present it at the front desk. For those who don’t, please contact Elodie Kurzen before 10th October. Note that an access card to the 8th HL-LHC Annual Meeting will not give you the rights to enter the CERN site for the HL-LHC MQXF Workshop.
Should you arrive outside of the reception opening hours (evenings or weekend), please go to Gate B and either present your access card or inform the guard that you are attending the HL-LHC MQXF Workshop.
Should you have any problems please call: +41 (0)75 411 8746.

Travelling by Car
From Switzerland:
Follow signs for "Aéroport", "Lyon" and "Meyrin". Once you are in Meyrin, follow signs for "St Genis" (which is just beyond the border, in France). Before reaching St Genis, the CERN reception is on your left on "Route de Meyrin", just before you reach the border.
From France (département of Ain):
Follow signs for "Gex" or "St. Genis". When you reach the border, CERN is on your right immediately after passing through customs.
If you come to CERN by car, you will need to collect a car sticker giving you access to the site with your car. We ask you to send us the license plate number of your car before 10th October so we can prepare the sticker, which you can then pick up from the CERN reception.
Before entering the site, you can park your car in the parking lot next to the Globe across the road from CERN. Please note, however, that you are permitted to enter and leave the car park only once by default. When you have obtained your sticker you can enter and leave the CERN site throughout the meeting.
If you have a rental car and do not know the license plate number in advance, go to the CERN reception when you arrive and they can issue you a sticker. If you arrive outside of opening hours please contact us as soon as possible, and we will inform you accordingly.
