Description

“Achieving the impossible”: Bertrand Piccard & André Borschberg were both fully inspired by this mantra throughout their whole “Solar Impulse” venture, and they concretely demonstrated to the World that they could live – and most importantly – act up to their dreams.

As a matter of fact, SAFETYN would probably have never been created without such a pioneering mindset, combined to a very ambitious objective: Drastically reducing fatalities in General Aviation (Light Aircrafts, Helicopters, Gliders…) to a similar pace recorded in the Automotive sector over the last 30 years, i.e. TWICE as fast versus General Aviation’s pace over the same period. While developing these solutions, SAFETYN Team has drawn some interesting parallels between Entrepreneurs and Aviators – so called “Pilots In Command”. SAFETYN CEO and Co-founder, Arnaud Violland, welcome you aboard to discover SAFETYN’s unique Human-Centric Approach to Risks: Cross-fertilising Aviators & Entrepreneurs.

SAFETYN is a Technology startup headquartered at CERN’s French Business Incubator Center “INNOGEX”, developing disruptive Life Preservation Solutions also designed to constantly assist Pilots in refining their Safety Situational Awareness & Acumen. SAFETYN is accelerated at AIRBUS BizLab (Pitch video) and is a member of World Alliance for Efficient Solutions by SOLAR IMPULSE Foundation (Solution Overview).

Arnaud Violland is co-Founder & CEO of SAFETYN and is also the Founder & Managing Partner of GlobAer Partners, a consulting firm specializing in Aerospace Innovation. Overall, Arnaud developed a diversified 18-year career experience with Airbus Group, Honeywell Aerospace, General Electric, McKinsey & Company, Oliver Wyman, Arcelor Mittal, etc... in a variety of projects ranging from Business Strategy & Transformation, Programme & Project Management, Change Management, Operational Strategy & Effectiveness to Disruptive Innovation Management. Arnaud holds an Industrial Engineering Master from Ecole Centrale de Lyon, a Master of Engineering Management from McCormick School of Engineering and a M.B.A. from Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University in Chicago)/
