      Admin matters
      1. DSA1.4: Progress report on SLA implementation
      2. MSA1.10: Grid Computer Security Incident Handling: passed review
      3. DSA1.5: Operations Cookbook
      4. MSA1.11: Security Policy Integration
    • 10:10 10:30
      validation of HEPSPEC06 plan
      • Installed Capacity to be published using HESPEC06 (site information to be published through the information providers) Sites should:

        • Buy HEPSPEC06 license
        • Measure resources using HEPSPEC06
        • publish HEPSPEC06 values
        • multiply * 250 to also publish as SI00 as before (transition time for the operations tools)
        • Set appropriate Glue Flags to say HEPSPEC06 has been used, e.g.:
          GlueHostBenchmarkSI00: 1990
          GlueHostProcessorOtherDescription: Cores=8, Benchmark=7.96-HEPSPEC06
      • Installed Capacity to be aggregated using HESPEC06 (to be done by gstat)

      • Accounting records usage in HEPSPEC06
      • Accounting Portal to show usage in both benchmarks by conversion. Eventually when most sites have changed, the portal default will change
      • Monitoring will identify sites which have not changed benchmark, by adding a extension to the GStat BDII sanity tests.
      • After some percentage of the infrastructure has migrated, start raising alarms/tickets and following up by the regional teams
    • 10:30 10:50
      Updated OAT deployment plan

Transition to EGI (and preparation for AA meeting)
    • transfer of knowledge for tasks that change responsibility
    • identify tasks whose final responsible is still not clear: action on all task responsibles and ROC managers to identify tasks whose responsibility in EGI is not clear
    • From ROCs to NGIs, prototyping exercise: For operations, a key step is the transition from a ROC model to NGIs. Due the variations across the EGEE federations, the approach taken in each region is different with its own challenges. Taking into the manpower available to the EGEE project, we have stated throughout the project's lifetime that the goal is to regionalise the operations. If we want to be able to successfully complete the transition to an NGI model it is imperative that the NGIs identify additional effort (i.e. beyond that which has been assigned to SA1 tasks in EGEE) to work on transition tasks before the end of EGEE-III. ROCs where the partners wish to operate as NGIs by the start of EGI-InSPIRE should come forward and start working with SA1 to take on the relevant skills and alter the entries in the relevant operational databases (e.g. GOCDB, GGUS, etc). These stages can be achieved without the deployment of national operational tool instances and the effort is expected to come from within the NGIs and the ROCs - supported by SA1.

  • There is since last week a SAM check to validate the sanity of what sites publish for installed capacity that can be used to raise alarms. The name is "gstat2-check-ce". Many errors is most of the sites, please check!
