      VIRGO: input & priorities 20m
      Speaker: Livia Conti

      • Livia introduces the exhibit piece (picture attached): a VIRGO mirror and suspension.  It is transportable ( 1mx1mx2m ~ 200 kg total ) and was made to be on loan. Currently booked for most of 2019 (starting with Barcelona). Coming up next are the CNRS anniversary and the 500 years of Leonardo da Vinci.  At CERN similar medium size objects are collected under the title "CERN Heritage"  [https://cds.cern.ch/collection/Heritage%20Collection%20for%20Loan%20to%20Museums%20and%20Science%20Centres?ln=en].  Claire explains the way ORIGIN combines "bits and pieces" with "roll up posters".

      • Amaldi conference: has a web site [ http://gr22amaldi13.com/register.php ] where you can see the first meeting of the equivalent of IPPOG for gravitational waves, IGWOG. Master classes will be discussed in that session. The conference covers experimental and theory aspects which are quite far away from the LHC, using the "muons theme" as we will do for Muography seems to be be difficult. Besides, it happens in parallel with HEP. Roll ups could be prepared though: next step is to ask Valencia teams for their plans (there is an ATLAS active group in Valencia).

      • Art-Science activities in VIRGO / EGO : very active field, as one can see in Paris right now https://www.palaisdetokyo.com/en/event/carte-blanche-tomas-saraceno and https://twitter.com/ego_virgo/status/1049921545647349763.  Would be nice to enhance connections after the Japan meeting

      • Evaluation: is a strong and common worry.  Claire summarises what she knows about activities around CERN & IPPOG. Evaluation of "captive audiences" (e.g. students following Master Classes, workshops) is not the same as visitors passing by the experimental site. Livia's priority is the second. To be followed up.

      CMS / art@CMS: what next 10m
Speakers: Michael Hoch (Austrian Academy of Sciences (AT)), Chiara Mariotti (INFN Torino (IT))

The first EPS 2019 preparation meeting will take place next week. Mailing list is setup and the ORIGIN web site page created in the "R&D" section https://originnetwork.web.cern.ch/content/eps-2019

      For more infos, contact Chiara.

For gravitational waves people, there is an overlap with the Amaldi conference in Valencia. There was a short session at EPS 2017 (Venice), and the topic is listed on https://indico.cern.ch/event/577856/program

For those who are not familiar with that conference: abstracts can be sent for talks at the outreach parallel session. The call is usually sent ~ February.

ATLAS: 2018 wrap up, plans 10m
Speakers: Claire Adam Bourdarios (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (FR)), James Beacham (Ohio State University (US))

See slides attached. The progress for Mexico will be reported at one of the upcoming meetings

      ALICE contribution 10m
Speaker: Despina Hatzifotiadou (Universita e INFN, Bologna (IT))

See attached photos of the existing objects and posters in CERN building 40, which are a good starting point for upcoming ORIGIN events.

For Mexico, the brand new ALICE virtual visit setup is more than welcome and will be used. Written material and a bunch of Spanish speaking people is being recruited :-)

      Speaker: Sara Steigerwald

Sara had connection problems but all seems to be under control. James connected from China (conference) to say hello.

Understanding a bit more about the VIRGO/EGO art-science program would be interesting for 2019.
