The final document submitted for the ESPP update and endorsed by 148 colleagues is available at the bottom of this page along with its abstract.

In view of the forthcoming update of the European strategy for particle physics and the fruitful discussions that took place within the Physics Beyond Colliders working group since 2 years, we have found it useful to prepare a document promoting an ambitious fixed-target programme for the LHC and which would allow our community to explicitly support it.

This document has as purpose to highlight the physics opportunities of the different possible implementations with different detectors (LHCb, ALICE or a new system) and to highlight the complementarity with other planned facilities or detector upgrades world wide. As such, it is written to support all the experimental fixed-target LHC proposals submitted for the strategy update.

A 10-page document following the format recommended by the European Strategy Group (ESG)  is being drafted and will be reviewed by a steering committee of about 20 colleagues whose names appear below. It will be made available on December 12, 2018 and you will then have the opportunity to endorse its content before the submission to the ESG on December 16, 2018.
