Summary of the possible ATLAS contributions for EPS - as of 21.11.2018. An update will be ready mid January 2019

      1) ATLAS contribution to the science exhibit:

POSTERS: files are all in https://cds.cern.ch/record/2252515. My posters are mute, so no language problem. As I said in the meeting the LHCP conference comes in between, so we will most probably have a few more. The idea is NOT to print them all (we saw in Split that it was redundant) but to focus instead on the few which go best with detector pieces and the context. Assuming that each of us gets a “corner” I'll only need from you an idea of the “ATLAS corner” layout. I may be able to convince the ATLAS outreach group to pay for the printing, in which case we would come and go away with them.

DETECTOR pieces: I can bring my full Split collection, that you see on the pictures and fits in a suitcase. It is described on that poster https://cernbox.cern.ch/index.php/s/GZMwWVZ0IiQ8aOO . Meanwhile I’m planing to get better on the ATLAS silicon tracker upgrade, but that’s a detail for you. I’d need ~ 2 tables.

PANORAMA: https://heppanoramic.github.io/lhc-panoramas/ . Looks great on screens (which can run standalone) and even better on Oculus Go (which need an operator). Co-developed with Tom Mc Cauley.

      2) ATLAS contribution to the outreach event:

VR DEMOS: I can bring some VR stuff, for which we’d need a couple of screens. See https://atlasrift.web.cern.ch/outreach . We may also consider borrowing some of the CERN oculus go kits and show the CMS and Data-Center 360 degrees movies, which work very very - very - well.

VIRTUAL VISIT: all details are on our web site https://atlasvirtualvisit.web.cern.ch/ , we have Deutsch colleagues and may focus on Upgrade activities. By the way, we can also organise Facebook live if you are interested, our VV setup can now do both and it attracts a different public.

SCIENCE on STAGE: no idea, really. For EPS Vienna we had organised a “my PhD in 3 minutes competition which was a lot of fun, but it is a different story. Contact was Dave Barney.
