HPTPC 05/04 meeting
Attendees: Brailsford, Deisting, Haigh, Jones, Chen-Wishart, Richie-Yates, Monroe, Nichol
Round table update (progress slowed due to statistical fluctuation in number of non-hptpc meetings)
CCD (absent)
- Currently tuning Gaussian blurring on the propaganda event
- Method is to maximise integral around the track
- The gaussian blurring has been run for an initial set of parameters; analysis to be done
Waveform (A.D.)
- waveform trigger - spill trigger == 0 was comparison of the spill triggered waveform to itself
- Beam analysis run over 700 files (calculates the beam spill time)
- Two tasks TODO:
- Add the beam trigger signals into the raptor TPC waveforms
- Add are_spill_times_present to raptorr header
Gain measurements talk (H.R.Y)
- Study of source data taken in november
- Cases shown where amplitude may be mis-measured due to baseline below dynamic range and also saturation
- Gain analysis being reproduced in raptorr
Global (absent)
- Bug fix for utof/dtof matching analysis so that the equivalent plot to the flux paper can be made
- There are currently differences between the two plots; being investigated
- TPC-TOF global spill event formation logic works and has been tested on a very specific small subset of files (J.H.)
- TODO: include TPC spill times in DB
- TODO: multi-file functionality
Hardware update (Z.C.W.):
- Trial run of the halls for moving the TPC to the clean room
- Working on support frame
- Almost ready to order parts
Intr. paper (A.D.):
- Progressing with writing
- E.T.A for end of month
S3 Deadtime in flux analysis talk (S.J.)
- Recap of problem and potential solution
- 4 moderator block data did not fit pattern seen for other block data
- Dependence of dead time on number of hits seen in s4
Flux paper update (S.J.):
- List of comments sent to Seb which have been added in
- Conclusion section still TODO
AOB:
- Ed will update his poster and then ask for a new round of comments
