Summary of the IOC meeting on Wednesday, March 27.

Present: Anne, Bobby, Herman, Horst, Rachid, Steve and Ketevi.

We reviewed the itinerary for the site visit.

Herman's flight will arrive early in the morning on March 31 around 00:55am. Herman will check / confirm with Farida that the driver will fetch him at that time from the airport.

Ketevi will return from Marrakesh on April 6. The people that are returning from Casablanca or Rabat and need rides from Marrakesh to the airport should get in touch to Mohamed to make sure that ground transports from Marrakesh is arranged for them.

April 1 in the morning at 9:30am: thesis defense of Mounia Laassiri. Some of us are members the jury and will attend the defense. The rest may attend too or you may arrange to visit the Embassy of your country at that time.

Monday April 1 afternoon, meetings with the LOC or with Mohammed V University officials; in the evening, dinner with the LOC. Need to meet with the LOC and prepare for the meetings at the Ministries the next day.

Tuesday April 2: meetings at the Ministries of Education and African affairs. Formal attire suggested. The ministries would want to meet everybody in the delegation, so expect and prepare to be a part of the visits to the Ministries. Our objectives here are: get financial commitment from the Ministry of Education (20'000-40'000 euros), and get support and assistance from the Ministry of African Affairs on entrance visa applications.

The LOC had stated that on April 3, during the journey from Rabat to Marrakesh, we will stop on the way at the University of Casablanca. We need to clarify with the LOC whether this is still the plan. If so, whether the journey will be by car or not, because if we will be taking the train, a stop at the University of Casablanca might not be feasible.

Wednesday April 3, afternoon / evening: arrival in Marrakesh. Nothing planned

Thursday April 4, at Marrakesh:

We will visit the university facilities and hotel proposed for the students and lecturers. We will also have meetings with the university officials. In the afternoon, we will have a meeting with the computing experts.

Friday April 5, at Marrakesh:

In the morning, we will have a meeting with the President of UCA, perhaps a visit to a near-by CIM

In the afternoon, we will have a debriefing IOC-LOC meeting.

Saturday April 6:
