The best way to access Ispra by air is via the Malpensa International Airport (MXP) that is 30 km from JRC Ispra. As an alternative, Orio al Serio airport could be used that is 110 km from JRC but well connected with the Central Train Station in Milan.

To/from the Orio al Serio (Bergamo) airport, you can take the Orio Shuttle from the Central Train Station in Milan (from here you can follow the option 2 described bellow). The whole trip would take between 2 to 3 hours to reach JRC. More info at www.orioshuttle.com
