Present:

Liam Andrew Dougherty, Jonathan Gall, Marco Andreini, Francisco Sanchez Galan, Fabio Formenti, Olivier Crespo-Lopez, Yann Maurer, Marzia Bernardini, Eliseo Perez-Duenas, Jamie Boyd (minutes)

Intro (Jamie):

- Discussion on optical fibres with Johannes Troller. Suggested to make a derivation from existing micro duct passing TI12 to bring a bundle of (12 or 24) fibres to FASER. If this wont work would need to lay a new micro duct. Marzia commented that since fiber cabling will be ongoing in the area in the next month, it would be good to check if that is needed, and if so then this work could be attached to the current campaign.

- Earthing cable can be installed by EN-EL-EIC (Yann) into TI12 to be connected the LHC earthing cable

- Confirmed can use see for civil engineering strengthening frame

- Asked if EN-CV can deal with FASER chillers (configuration and M&O). Olivier pointed out that a fluidic simulation is not needed since the dissipated power is quite low.

WP1 (Liam):

- Cable trays in UJ12 have been lowered

- SAS contract signed (same SAS will be used for WP1 and WP2)

- EN-EL-EIC visit to UJ12/TI12 for studying integration of power cable, lighting, earthing cable

- Passarelle has been manufactured to be installed on July 1st. Marco asked for the updated documents to be uploaded to EDMS

- Marzia asked about the layout database. The FASER detector and trench should be included in this. This is important for any work that the survey team will do. Since updates to the DB can take some time it would be good to look into this soon.

- Planning of next WP1 activities well advanced, schedule foresees Pasarelle installation (1/7), SAS installation (2/7), installation/testing of transport tooling in UJ12 (starts 8/7) [this will block access in UJ12 for 1 day, but evacuation will be possible].

- Olivier mentioned that EN-CV would like to install compressed air to TI12 in July, but this requires a 1 day stop of the compressed air in sector 81

- For the QRL protection there could be a problem that it blocks the lowering of some cables on the transport side of the LHC (these were raised for the full sector for the DISMAC campaign). (It was checked that the QRL protection doesn’t block a magnet interconnect). This may delay the QRL protection installation, but that is not problematic. Marco also commented that validating the fabrication of the QRL protection may not be ready in time, so delaying may be a good idea from that side too.

- A scan by EN-EL-EIC revealed that the HV cable runs under the QRL where one of the connections for the QRL protection would be. They have asked Caterina if this connection doesn’t have to be screwed into the ground.

- It should also be checked that the QRL protection and passerine dont interfere with the survey line of sight.

- Yann asked if there will need to be a power connection for the crane during the handling test? After the meeting Yann confirmed that he has a request from HE to supply power for the crane.

- Caterina has confirmed that it is OK to install the handling beams in TI12 after the civil engineering works (which is good for WP2)

- The more detailed WP1 work will be put into the master LS2 schedule (currently there is just a block for this work)

- WP1 will also check with the DISMAC team the compatibility of the planning with the closing of interconnections.

WP2 (Jonathan):

- Initial results back from the core tests look as expected. Final report will be uploaded to EDMS when available.

- GPR results on drain have been incorporated into the CE model

- ARUP working on CE works design. Looking at design with steel frames, but also considering different options such as whaling beams + props.

- Discussion with survey (JF Fuchs) confirm they dont have resources to do survey work for FASER (possible that a contractor could be used if funds available)

- WP2 work on schedule. Next steps design fro ARUP end of July, validation by HSE mid-Aug.

Propose next meeting in 3-weeks (27/6).
