The CMS-experiment in CERN produces a large amount of open data to be used anywhere in the world. This gives teachers a great opportunity to bring real data for their students to study and analyze. In this workshop you will learn how the CMS open data can be used in education. You will be using real data from the CMS experiment and analyze it using Python and interactive Jupyter Notebooks. Don’t worry, you don’t need any experience on those. This workshop is for you if you haven’t done data-analysis before and want to learn it or if you are interested in the educational possibilities of open data and data-analysis.
