Weekly meeting on Xboxes: 17/07/2019
Present: Sam, Alejandro, Ben, Lee, Xiaowei, David, Amelia, Nuria, Walter, Jan, Alexej, Gerry, Igor.
XB1
XB2
- Continue ramping with klystron pulse until we reach 50MW (25 in each structure).
- Klystron was not saturating at lower power than expected. The RF and high voltage pulses were misaligned in time resulting in a decreased amplitude.
XB3
- Stop RF today (17/07/2019) so that Gerry can check the perveance. We previously witnessed a klystron die and the perveance degraded leading up to this.
- Config files: To avoid jumps in power after a restart/software crash we should save config files regularly. If a recent config file isn’t available, the most recent power should be checked in the trend data file.
- L3: Leave running at 150ns until next week to collect a data point (Xiaowei/David performing analysis).
- L4: Vacuum spikes caused the FiberIntSts\input missing interlock on the modulators. Suggested (by Nuria) that it could be due to a problem with the ion pump close to where the varnish was recently applied?
- L4: Avoid an intervention for the time being, just run line D and not C if the vacuum in C is too high. Ben suggests conditioning the NEGs again with the primary pump attached.
