Keminmaan lukio, Keminmaa, Finnland, and Pyhäjoen lukio, Pyhäjoki, Finnland, will take part in CMS Virtual Visit on Monday 4th November 2019.
In Keminmaan lukio this event is part of our LUMA-week, which we have organized every year since 2004. LUMA stands for natural science (LU) and mathematichs (MA). This is a week that profiles these sciences via demos, lectures, competitions, posters, videos etc. We have here visitors from universities and different kind of companies.
We have also had several CERN-projects with Pyhäjoen lukio. In these projects our teachers and students have visited CERN. These projects have been a great inspiration for students and teschers in our schools to study elementary particles and physics over all.
This is first time when we take part in CMS Virtual Visit. In our school every student can take part in VV, if they like. Students are 16-18 years of age.
