Description
In our report we review different aspects of the LHC Machine Induced Background and
its implication on the specific experiments.
On the base of current assumptions and estimates of the various parameters of the
problem, we will present a few examples of the effect of this background on the
experiments' detectors.
Using the present understanding of the background sources and its formation in the
machine structure, we attempt to predict the possible range of variation in the
Machine Induced Background at various stages of LHC commissioning and operation.
