We were advised to use Opera metro station but Plaza de Espana, Santo Domingo and Callao are close.

The reception of the Residencia is open 24/7 and when one arrives during the day one can enter directly via the gate on Calle Pinar.
If you stay in another accommodation outside or arrive late you can also enter via the entrance on Calle Serrano 113.
When entering the building (Serrano 113bis), there will be the LIST of participants that should be signed IN and signed OUT every day by everyone (access control)
The CSIC canteen is at 100m distance and OK for Coffee and Lunch
There is also a wending machine in the entrance of the building.
wifi: EDUROAM
(there is a visiter-wifi but has to be signed up in advance and the pwd is 40characters long so Please let me know if anyone needs it.
The residencia has EDUROAM and its own wifi)
TAXI from airport is fixed price 30€
BUS 200 (blue) takes you from Airport to "Avenida de America" 1.5 € + 15min walk to reach CSIC. All buses accept contactles creditcard payment or movil-pay)
Metro 8 Airport to “Nuevos Ministerios” 1.5 € + 3€ airport charge + 15min walk to reach CSIC
the yellow AiprotExpress bus takes you to Atocha train-station center of Madrid, not good for getting to CSIC.
