Matters arising and actions:
-
ISTs during weeks 34 and 35 is still under discussion --> Etienne is in contact with David. This planing should be finalized soon - once that is clarified we need to response on the phases of the final dump assembly so that this can be finalized.
-
ALPS test had to be moved to BA6 as there is not power in BA3 during this week - to be taken into consideration in the future.
Agenda:
- News on dry-run and test progress (K. Li)
-
FESA classes for FGCs - to be checked; in simulation mode we can have a test; should arrive around 15 February
-
ALPS has already been well tested by Stephane in BA3
-
ALPS interlocks needs to be checked early together with Yannick!
- RF frequency programs and frequency distribution during slip stacking (T. Argyropoulos)
-
For FFA all frequencies can be distributed and it is up to the client to decide what frequency they want to see.
-
All RF frequency programs are distributed also during slip stacking; again, it is the client that is free to decide what frequency program is to be used.
-
Verena commented that the BST needs to choose one frequency as synchronous; this needs to be done at the start of the cycle. (ACTION: To be checked early next week - Giulia to check with RF on possibilities and then schedule a meeting; Etienne also remarked that the TSU would need to work correctly with the frequency swings. Verena said it would be good to then come up with a list of which clients would use which frequency.)
- Impact of name changes of FGCs (S Cettour Cave)
- Stephane showed the name PC changes
- The name changes should be simple to implement both for imported as well as for the virtual parameters
- Verena asked about generation or makreules using logicals - this always works via ID so there is no problem here
- Loic stressed that the name changes should be done soon and complete the table; Stephane will check with David Nisbeth (ACTION: Stephane to forward the tables and get in touch with David)
- SIS: Exporter from TT10 BIC (E. Veyrunes)
- External condition should inhibit the injection kicker from pulsing - Verena asked whether it is okay that the injection kickers keep pulsing; there was a small discussion for reasons to turn of kicker pulsing. It was decided to use AllUserPermitted in the SIS - it can still be modified or masked, or changed in case there is an issue. In any case the MDSH will not pulse.
- An MKP enable input has been added; this will be on the master BIC close to the PS; this also gives operational flexibility as it is not done via timing
- Ivan mentioned that there is already an input; in this case however the MDSH would be going as well, so it can not be done like this --> Brennan asked this to be put down in a could of pages that can be summarize with explanation and all use cases which can then be circulated (ACTION: Verena, Eric compile a small summary with use cases and circulate this)
- A proposal for improving the MDSH.11971 interlocking (I. Ramirez)
- Ivan reminded about the new SPS injection interlock system
- Ivan made a porposal oj the ay the MDSH interlock circuit is done: a WIC on MDSH will not have an impact on the beam; instead, the MDSH powering interlock can be moved from the Ring-WIC to the TT10-WIC
- Ivan asked about how to manage extractions - this would also need to be discussed in detail; there are several options; Brennan again stressed, that this should become part of the above mentioned document.
- If the proposal is accepted, there would need to be some changes to be implemented.
- There are no modification on the power converter side. The proposal was accepted - Verena asked to go on with the modification.
- Status of SPS beam line activities (A. Grande Mallavia)
- Some delay has been accumulated; Antonio is searching for way to catch up with the delay.
- Vacuum has been delayed as the cabling it not yet entirely finished. A machine is considered closed when it is pumped.
- Brennan asked whether the question on the drains has an impact - Etienne said that they will still need to decide what to do with the drains; this need to be followed up (ACTION: Etienne to decide what to do with the broken drains)
- Brennan asked Lars to check on the WS issues (ACTION: Lars to investigate problems with WS, detail or major?)
- Antonio's list comprises only what had been refurbished and needs tests before being installed.
- Round table:
- Brennan asked for a couple of slides on status of the layout database for next week
- Etienne: details of planning changes? For Etienne still to early before dat from EN-STI
- Next meeting:
- Dry run digest
- Listing RF completeness further
- IST checklists
- How do clients deal with slip stacking?
