Dear colleagues,

given the present situation with

*) uncertainties of travel restrictions in September 2020;

*) the short time between the possible re-start of many institutes and the planned workshop date and;

*) the low anticipated number of submitted abstracts;

the TWEPP organizing committee decided to postpone the TWEPP workshop to 2021. The anticipated date is 20.9 – 24.9.2021.
However, we plan to hold the working group meetings, usually taking place during the workshop, as a remote event in autumn 2020. The exact dates will be communicated later.

We would like to thank those who already started to work on the abstracts for this year and encourage them to publish their results in a journal in addition to presenting their work to TWEPP 2021.

Also, we would like to thank the Bergen organising committee for all their work so far and accepting the organisation of the postponed workshop in 2021.

Kind regards,

the TWEPP committee

The workshop covers all aspects of electronic systems, components and instrumentation for particle and astro-particle physics experiments such as: electronics for particle detection, triggering, data-acquisition systems, accelerator and beam instrumentation.

Operational experience of electronic systems and R&D in electronics for LHC, High Luminosity LHC, FAIR, neutrino facilities and other present or future accelerator projects are the major focus of the workshop.

The purpose of the workshop is :

- to present results and original concepts for R&D in electronics relevant to present and future experiments, accelerator and beam instrumentation
- to review the status of electronics for the LHC experiments
- to identify and encourage common efforts for the development of electronics
- to promote information exchange and collaboration in the relevant engineering and physics communities.

Registration to the workshop and local organisation information are available on:
